One of Chicago’s top interior designers, Lauren Lozano Ziol applies her aesthetic eye and degrees in Art History and Interior Design to carefully and elegantly blend traditional elements with clean lines, refined materials and sophisticated colors. Lauren has been featured in Chicago Home and Garden and the Chicago Tribune Winner of the I4Design Suite 16 Award 2011. Lauren has also been featured on NBC’s LXTV Open House and is a member of ASID. I am drawn to Lauren’s versatile style, sense of design, color, proportions and personality in the homes she has created.
I asked Lauren her inspiration for this classic, yet contemporary twist in this powder room design. It is truly lovely and something I envision seeing in an elegant hotel in Paris. Lauren said that she “especially loves the contrast between ornate and clean lines in this powder room. The height of the ceiling allow this Dedar wallpaper from Holly Hunt to really come alive. The juxtaposition between the wallpaper and the very contemporary sink from Hydrology add a new-age glamour and sophistication. The contrast of the cream and gold add drama, yet instill a calmness.”
Lauren Lozano Ziol recently launched the debut pieces of her new furniture line that takes inspiration from Art Deco furniture.
I recently asked Lauren to tell me some of her favorite holiday gifts for the hostess and the home.
